Prompts from a Kit ~ Ordinary (UW Story)

Now that she had a moment to kind-of-sort-of adjust to the underwater atmosphere, Isabel had some time to think. Think about what brought her here...think about how she was going to get home...

...Think about where she could find her Hat.

That Hat of hers was no simple accessory, it was the source of all her Author powers...so she remembered. And without it, Isabel felt...weird. She felt...ordinary. It was a feeling she was unfamiliar with...a feeling she did not like.

Isabel knew, though she did not want to accept, that she absolutely HAD to get her Hat back before she left this water-covered world, if she could. But how to do it? She could not swim at all. She could barely hold her breath. Her only source of oxygen was an alien rebreather. She had no idea what Korrina's species ate or drank (if anything).

If not getting home, then at least surviving indefinitely on an underwater planet was certainly going to be daunting for the young Author...and she was looking forward to none of it. Regardless of how she felt on the matter, though, she knew she had to deal with it for the time being.

"...Glglp." Case in point; Isabel was so lost in thought, she almost failed to notice her chest tighten once more. She put her alien rebreather to her face and took a breath, sighing in both relief and annoyance; this, among other things, was just another constant she was going to need to accept for the moment.

Isabel almost took her rebreather off before she had to yawn. Fixing her eyes to the window, she could only just notice that it was darker out than when she first found herself here.

"Mmmmmmmmm." Isabel groaned tiredly. As if being stranded on an underwater planet sounded daunting enough, she also had to deal with keeping up her sleep schedule underwater as well. What an Author would give for some coffee right about now...
